On Demand sp. z o.o.
In November and December 2017, On Demand sp. z o.o., the owner of Szopi.pl, acquired PLN 3,4 million. The Impera Alfa, venture capital fund, was the leading investor, which provided support to the company in the amount of PLN 3 million. The company intends to allocate the acquired funds, among others, for technological development. The introduction of solutions, appropriate algorithms, will allow, for example, for assigning orders in real time to shoppers, and this will increase the efficiency of processes along with the growing scale of operations. In the near future, the company is also planning expansion – the area of its operation will be expanded to other large cities in Poland.

Szopi.pl is a platform through which customers can shop online with the option of delivery even within one hour of placing an order or at the time chosen by them. The shopper who collects the order at selected local stores on behalf of the customer is responsible for completing the order and its delivery. Through the Szopi.pl platform, we can also buy in stores that do not sell online eg Biedronka, Lidl. Since May this year, the site also offers purchases in pharmacies, including prescription drugs.
On Demand was founded in March 2016. Szopi.pl started operating in October 2016, offering services in several districts of Warsaw. Currently, it operates throughout Warsaw, Krakow including several neighboring towns as well as Wrocław.
